Tone Karničar

Tone Karničar (born 1960^[1]) is a Slovenian ski mountaineer.

Karničar, member of the GRS Jezersko,^[2] took part as a member of the national skimountaineering team in the 2004 World Championship of Skimountaineering, when he placed sixth in the relay event together with Jernej Karničar, Žiga Karničar and Marko Lihteneker. Amongst others, he placed third in the Memorial Marka race (Marko Lihteneker memorial race) in Staneta in 2006.</ref> The Memorial Marka race in Staneta is named in honour of him.^[3]
